Peter Lik is a successful landscape and nature photographer that has been doing it for 35 years. He's an australian that is self taught that is shaping the modern philosophy of fine art in digital photography around the world. At the age of 8 he was already taking photographs with a camera, his parents got him. Much of what he knows is self taught and done through trial and error.
His artwork possess much of the extravagant not seen to the normal person photos. such as a volcanic eruption or a tree on a cliff overlooking a sunset that really brings out the beauty in the world. He also works with lots of clashing features like lava on water or light and dark. Much like Van Gogh's Starry Night he's done pictures of buildings overlooking stars or lava or something of bright effect.
He believes in spreading the crisis of global warming and the moments in time that we need to preserve in history now and not lose in the future when the time has passed. He wants to help spread awareness for global warming.
Peter Lik has influenced me by opening my eyes to new ideas and angles on images and paintings. He has also influenced me in my mindset and that I should take advantage of great pictures in the moment and accomplish my goals as they come don't go out and find them because you may not know its a goal yet but it will come and go as u move along in life.

A Secret Place
My final Images i think are much worse than his in my opinion and I think my timing is a bit off so my pictures didn’t turn out to be great. My waterfall in particular was really hard to find and take in particular but the sunset i could easily do it was just the lightning and exposure setting to get right. The trees were hard to do due to the snow and fall passing so i recreated it without the leaves like a snowy area. he has pictures like this but those were all staged or edited to the format he set so i thought it easier to do this.
I try to let all my images tell my viewer about my life and what I like to do in my life.
